Unrevealed Far Cry Spin-Off Game with Laser Deathmatches Receives PEGI Rating

An unannounced game titled Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior, believed to be a Far Cry spin-off, has recently received a rating from the European classification board PEGI. Although there's no official confirmation, the listing hints that a formal announcement might be on the horizon.

Game Rant first spotted the PEGI listing, revealing that this undisclosed title will involve players engaging in a "laser deathmatch," where the participant with the highest kill count emerges as the victor.

PEGI has assigned a 12 rating to Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior, citing "moderate violence to human-like characters." Additionally, the game will offer purchasable in-game items, including cosmetics. It's noteworthy that the PEGI rating specifically mentions the PC platform.

While details remain sparse, it's speculated that Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior could be tied to Netflix's animated series, Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix, inspired by Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. In essence, this game might be a spin-off of a spin-off.

Eurogamer reached out to Ubisoft for a statement, but the company adhered to its policy of not "commenting on rumors or speculation." Notably, recent reports have suggested that Ubisoft is working on a standalone Far Cry multiplayer game and the next installment in the main Far Cry series.

Insiders have hinted that the upcoming Far Cry entry will feature a "non-linear" storyline centered around the kidnapping of the protagonist's family. According to sources, Far Cry 7's narrative will unfold over 72 in-game hours, equivalent to 24 real-time hours. As the speculations continue, the gaming community awaits official confirmation from Ubisoft regarding Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior and the future of the Far Cry franchise.
