 Starbreeze, the developer behind Payday 3, has acknowledged the dissatisfaction among fans regarding the heist shooter and has taken steps to address the issues. In a recent blog post, the company revealed the formation of an internal "strike team" dedicated to revamping the game based on player feedback.

The blog post stated, "We’re well aware that many of you aren’t satisfied with the game the way it is in its current state." The developer acknowledged the importance of community feedback gathered from forums, social media, video comments, and the Feature Upvote page in shaping the future of Payday 3.

To translate this feedback into action, Starbreeze has assembled a team of experienced developers from various departments, including design, community, communication, and production. The primary goal is to elevate Payday 3 to meet players' expectations.

Starbreeze plans to unveil its comprehensive plan for addressing the issues in February. The developer expressed a commitment to careful and thoughtful planning, avoiding reactionary measures and ensuring that improvements are implemented with the attention they deserve.

The launch of Payday 3 faced significant challenges, including server issues that prompted an apology from Starbreeze CEO Tobias Sjögren. Despite boasting 3.1 million players as of October 2, the player base has dwindled, particularly on Steam, where Payday 2 currently sees more activity than its sequel. SteamDB data indicates a 24-hour peak of just 713 players for Payday 3 compared to Payday 2's 33,550, despite the latter launching over a decade ago.
